In the 90s, there was just this like huge untapped girl toy recipient market and Mattel filled it with Barbies. Other toy competitors at that same time were focusing largely on toys and games quote unquote four boys. And because I guess boys need more toys whereas girls can just help in the kitchen. Girls just need small spatulas and small vacuum cleaners.
