The Feminist Side of Self-Care

I think in my mother's generation it was sort of work or you're indulging yourself. And I think the cynical part of me is that because someone figured out that they can make money off of telling people to look after themselves. But what I want to know is when did this come in and why? Is there a feminist side of self-care because it's often said in feminism you've got to do yourself. People from the 1% probably self-care to fuck for like God's Greek gods.
