The Berkeley Girls with ADHD longitudinal study is the largest sample of girls with ADHD to our knowledge. When we first diagnosed them, they were under 12 years of age. Their average age is about 20, as opposed to just under 10 when we first saw them. And some of the eating disorder symptoms we saw in the mid-teen years tended to be persistent in the girls,. now young women with ADHD.
