Gold Standard or No Gold Standard?

Preston: From an individual standpoint gold's going to protect your buying power right. If we're looking at a major currency global currency crisis if you go out and buy gold it's going to preserve whatever buying power you stuffed into that gold. I suspect that gold's still going to have quite a bit of demand on either side of this um or on the other side of what we're about to go through here in the coming decade. On a sovereign level using it as a peg to to write a currency on top of it is where I have a major issue with it because history it has always failed every single time no matter whichHistory book you're looking at gold with a currency writing
