The Cardinal died just a little while before Richard died. And Richard was very, very ill at that point. But he did go to the funeral, which was not easy for him. He was very weak. Father Raymond D'Zouza who may have also come down and said that he barely made it down the aisle. They were very close friends. As I lay dying is a very personal book about that first brush with death. The second brush with death he died.
