Are There Other Forms of Testing Than Hypothesis Driven Testing?

I'm curious if you have any experience with a whole product launch and how that might differ from feature releases in terms of the aging process. Are there other forms of testing than hypothesis driven testing? I haven't worked in an environment that's like, I guess I saw it was more intuition driven than hypothesis and testing driven. If you're going to do an A-B test, you really want to have a really solid hypothesis before you kick one off. We work with user researchers on our team. And so we will frequently be sending out surveys to solicit that. So we have a regular feedback channel.
