Lazarus's Life and Writings

Lazarus published more than 50 original poems in her lifetime, as well as volumes of translations. She became a vocal advocate for new york's jewish refugee population and spoke out against the anti semitism that was rampant in eastern europe. In publishing this work, lazarus became a really controversial figure.
