Should We Go for the Charismatic Leader?

In order to find a philosopher king, you would need to create a society that produces a philosopher king. And Plato thinks that as you tend to get more deviant from the society where the philosophers rule, it becomes harder and harder to produce philosophers. So one of the questions when you are asking, should we go for the charismatic leader is do we think our political institutions are thoroughly dominated by people who make it impossible for you to do anything in the first instance? It asks a larger question about whether they've become too technocratic.
