The Substrate Effect of Coptic Arabic
The Coptic language was replaced by Arabic in the 7th or 8th century. Speakers borrowed a lot of their aspects into modern Egyptian Arabic. Modern standard Arabic tends to front, uh, WH words like English. The demonstrative adjectives in Egyptian Arabic follow the noun instead of proceeded so in classical Arabic.
