Public policy is the answer to dealing with ethical concerns of a i or g i. We need, in the same way that agile soffware development was a process solution to a product problem, we need some of that with respect to public policy. The tect is going to move much faster than our understanding of how to manage it. So having a framework that keeps some of in check as we figure it out is really helpful. In my humble opinion, the best base line approach to that kind of policy making is openness and transparency.
