Is the US a Global Peace Keeper?

You talk in your book about how the us. Had this kind of more peace keeping role, especially in the aftermath of the second world war. Do you think that would have been realistic, as it were expectation to have of the us? Could it have kept this rule as a kind of global peace keeper? Or are the events that we've seen in recent years, both now and in ukraine with te russia's war against it, but also previously with a war in syria and so on? Is is that just proof that the us. Could not uphold that anyway, even if i had chosen to?
