Buy Now Pay Later Loans Don't Charge Interest
Many do not charge interest and some don't even charge late fees. These products can prey on consumers' worth shopping habits without much payoff. Most buy now pay later purchases are made for what we would probably call wants or discretionary purchases. Over 58% of these products were used for apparel and beauty merchants in 2021, according to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
