The Chinese Defense Minister's Speech at the Shanghai Dialogue

The speeches at the Shanghai Dialogue are not generally aimed at persuading implacable opponents, they're aimed at persuaders middle ground powers in Southeast Asia. In general, how did you think his speech will have gone down with its intended audience in Southeast Asia? I think there's two sets of issues. One is the body language, the tender, the tone of the delivery and the second is the message. The message, I think in general, to be honest, it's nothing new. Certain red lines have been expressed before over Taiwan,. China sort of have a list of problems and issues with the United States. These are things that we've heard before.
