There's something that happens when you have high levels of power over people beneath you, that suddenly it's easier to think of them as disposable or less worthy of your attention. And i think this is why it's so crucial to make sure that we have systems that elevate people who are automatically good and decent. Because if you got a psychopath, the theng gets thrust into those tations, they're going to get even worse, right?
