Are We a Simulation?

If we aren't currently a simulation, it means that technology stopped advancing. Maybe if we managed to go faster than the speed of light, we would hit the edge of our simulation. The argument says you'd have lots of things that want to simulate us. I actually have a problem with that. We mostly are interested in ourselves. And heaven knows, humans have been profound naval gazers since the moment we noticed our navels back on the african savannah hundreds of thousands of years ago.
