The Overtaking Car's Front Wheels Are Alongside the Other Car

Overtaking rules say cars must be alongside each other by the apex of a corner. Brad Mayes says that doesn't make sense and gives too much leeway to drivers who may not even know they're being overtaken. The most extreme example he uses is when it's so late, you wouldn't expect them to necessarily have known it was coming. But in every situation between those two, blame should really be apportioned wholly on the driver turning in because they've had every chance to know you were there. He adds: "I'm saying the example i just gave was kind of one end of the spectrum"
