The core of tower is a trait called a service trait that is essentially just an async function of request response. So right now tower to use tower, you have to do the old style, which is you have to implement your futures by hand. But my hope is soon, like end of the year, sometime next year, there'll be a clear path on whenync functions and traits will get stabilized. And when that happens, we can do an overhaul of tower to make it more friendly and usable to all.
