The History of the Cinema
Disney was one of the first to try and make films specifically for children. Families are going quite early on they tend to go on Saturdays that's the big family night out. The industry relies primarily on young adults for most of the time but then have these blockbusters which will appeal to family audiences. Those are the two audiences you get with the young adults being the everyday cinema goer. You don't want to share what everybody else is watching. Now you're freed from that you can watch the television you can watch moving images on all sorts of equipment in the privacy of your own room so there isn't the unique appeal any longer.
