In 1984, when he was trying to get a band going in the Bay Area. He auditioned for everybody that needed a bass player but found nothing exciting. So he started his own thing: "I want to combine all these weird elements" The early primate became primus and they got air play on local radio station called the quake. They were playing nobody knew what to do with us until Michael Bailey booked them at Berkeley Square.
