I'm a Part of the African American Experience

Most african americans have their own narratives covering the span of their life that is an example of their encounters with with racism. And so for a long time, unless people were activest in this arena, the fuller body of the af African American experience was to sort of put your head down and keep going. In order to move about in society where you were the minority, the name of the game was assimilate. The idea of America as the great melting pot made sense to us because it was our culture that was being melted away. But rather, god is inviting peoples to live more fully into our ness, to express ourselves.
