I don't think anyone was saying that it doesn't have narrative. I think it's sort of about whether or not you would classify it as narrative in certain definitions. It obviously is intending to present a very shattered narrative that leaves gaps for you to fill with your imagination. But at the same time it also calls into question like is it there is it though? You look at the tightness of God of War's narrative and you're like yes of course that's it. Whereas with Elden Ring you're like I don't know because those gaps are so large they do invite that kind of questioning. "If someone's really going to die on that hill it's narrative," he says
