The Challenge With Inflation
The sect of the economy that we most directly impact with our monetary policy is the mortgage market and therefore housing. Just over the course of this year, 30 your mortgage rates have climbed from around three % to around five and a quarter%. And so i'm confident that we should start to see some softening in the housing market. But you're exactly right, ad, here's the challenge with inflation. It's the lowest income Americans who are most punished by these climbing prices.
