Everybody deserves to have their pain treated while they're admitted in the hospital so again ideally it'd be great to have an individual on methadone or buprenorphine. It's totally reasonable to use full agonists generally in my practice I usually schedule short acting sort of again ramp up pretty quickly and then adjust and go from there. Sometimes depending on how long someone's there I may use a long acting dose of oxycontin at night just because I think that short acting is every three four hours but when people sleep it can be a little bit more challenging during that time.
