The Role of Observers in the World Championships
There's a philosophical ban to the self-governing aspect of ultimate. Every player is a referee, so every player needs to know the rules. To even sign up for a world championship you're required to take a quiz and show your quiz completion certificate - that's insane. I think observers are a really good balanced way to have some kind of impartial person without changing the way the game is played. When you remove it it's like removing the spirit of the game. So being a good sportsman is in the rules which I think is really cool.
