The Politics of Science
The process of choosing what research to be funded or to do is going to have a political element to it always. How the scientific results are used by the media, by other folks, by politicians will also have an element of politics to it. Where our goal should be, as Dorian says, or what we should strive is in that middle part, where we're actually doing the science, that should be free of politics.
