Caesar's Blood Pressure Rises

After the battle with the Germans, Caesar felt there were several reasons why he should cross the Rhine. He wanted to make the Germans scared in their own homes so they would be less likely to choose to raiding Gaul once they found out that the Roman army could pass the river at will. For some reason he decided going by boat would not quite deliver the message you want to deliver. And because Caesar didn't believe in half-hearted measure, he managed to get his soldiers to build this miracle of engineering in record time. As it tells, within ten days after the timber began to be collected, the whole work was completed and the whole army led over.
