The Great Labor Shortage Crisis
A savings rate combined with one of the most intense market rallies in history has meant that people built up their nest eggs a little bit faster than they might have expected. The good news for the fet, at least is that unemployment is backed down to almost where it was before the pandemic,. But that's just half the story. What is potentially of greater concern is the employment rate. Just because the working age caps out at 64 doesn't mean that people always wait until that age to hir. People in their fifties are much more likely to take an early retirement over people in their thirties.
