The Politics of America's Engagement With the World
Biden is driven by a sense that the future of the international order is on the line, writes Julian Zelizer. For the first time since World War II era, he says, America's engagement with the world is becoming a partisan issue. According to a recent Gallup poll, 79% of Democrats want to help Ukraine regain lost territory even if that means prolonging the conflict. By contrast, 49% of Republicans would like to end the conflict quickly and concentrate on problems here at home.
