The Inquisitorial Legal System in the Modern World

In the American legal system, at least, if you were to go by movies and legal thrillers or something, you would think that every crime is settled by a jury trial. It's very far from the case. The more dramatic forms of deciding disputes like this or determining guilt or innocence are not actually going to be that common.
