The History of Yule
The sixth century Byzantine chronicler Procopius talked about the inhabitants of Scandinavia who he got what she called Thule. He said they celebrated the feast for returning sun sometime after the winter solstice but I just don't think that can be true because we've got lots of evidence against it. There are two Yule months for the Anglo-Saxons, one was called Arr-yella which means like pre-yule or you know four four-yule and then the other one was called Aftere-yula which is after yule so it seems most likely that this yule of Germanic people was celebrated on the full moon of the second yule month
