i was at adobe for eight and a half years. i got to really do things my own way, and that brought me plenty of success early on there. But over time, all that freedom made me entitled. I worked hard when i felt inspired but i swacked off. Smicked off a lot when i didn't. Eventually, i graduated to a manager who wasn't as shy about asking for what he wanted. So it wasn't really a surprise when i was eventually called into his office and i found a layoff package on the desk.
