The Russian Air Force Is Terrible at Everything, Right?
There's a wider problem with how the Russians planned and executed the operation, which is that they didn't tell the people that they were going to war. It's partly because they weren't given enough time to be able to plan a deliberate C.N.D campaign at lower level. And so one of the reasons why you have a very inflated kill count from the Ukrainians in the air war is that they are actually declaring possible shootdowns. When they fire at a Russian plane, if the green dot disappears off the screen, does that mean you've killed it? Or does it just mean that it dove or that you lost contact?
