Sizewell: People often imagine that religion is still a completely separate function. So dedifferentiation is where you get very neat boundaries between different social spheres like education, law, entertainment. They get blurred and fuzzy. But now were seeing the opposite process, and that affects religion as well as other spheres. And this is also about how you globalize social science and don't take europe or the west as your main frame of reference. Now i can imagine, as you broaden out the numbers of religions, multiply and the complexity of understanding what is going on within those religions increases.
