The SMART framework is an acronym, and it stands for specific, M measurable, A attainable, R relevant, and then T time-phased. Being specific is key to getting the best out of your team when you're trying to get them to achieve a goal. So I'll walk through all five of these, and then give you a few examples of what a SMART goal would sound like.
