The Blasphemy Charge in the Son of Man

The reason they needed a Roman court is because they don't have the rights to capital punishment. They've got to come up with a crime that the Romans will convict him on and execute a capital punishment, but they're thirsting for his blood. But here's the irony. There is no blasphemy in saying you're the Messiah. And the only one who couldn't commit blasphemy is him. It's so ironic. Right? So they can't get him for what they want to get him for.
