I asked Barry whether it was important to have a network of other poker players as colleagues. But he said that there are some reasons to keep a healthy distance from other players. I intentionally was a loner. Let's say before the poker boom, I didn't want to be a co-dependent on their problems. And so no, I wasn't playing poker to make friends.
