The Importance of Care Navigation in NHS England
NHS England sees care navigation as essential to helping improve access for patients. From our experience of having trained hundreds of G2 receptionists, we think they care navigators. It's not fair to describe their role as receptionists. We're designing care based on the patients need. They need a gateway, not a secretary. For me, the Access Recovery Plan is about equitable access and offering people choice. This is what we're supposed to be doing all along.
