The Politics of Petraeus

The journals contain classified information regarding the identity of covert intelligence and state officers. Petraeus did not give the books to his official military historian as required but kept them in his home. He didn't spend a day in prison. They ended up charging him with misdemeanor counts, one misdemeanor count. The leak was infinitely more severe than almost any other leak, certainly by Edward Snowden, by Chelsea Manning, by almost anyone who has been sent to prison for years.
