The S&P 500: A Major Downtrend
We were in a major downtrend all of the last year, as everybody knows. Everybody was watching the 200-day moving average. And then we dropped right down to, let's call it 3600. That level has to hold in order for technicians to still make the argument that this was just a pullback in an emerging trend higher. If we can't hold this level, I think its very likely that we can go all the way back to that3600 level when I was kind of laying out the way this chart looks at the beginning.
