A bar owner called Chicago Police Department and said that one of his semi-regulars, a man named Roger Arnold, had been bragging about having cyanide in his home. The police thought it sounded like a pretty good tip. They went out to the Lincoln Avenue bar scene, asked a lot of the different bar owners and bartenders to give them a call when Roger showed up. A few days later, on October 11th, Roger came in to a bar called the lease. And they went and rounded him up. He admitted that he had purchased some cyanide off of a mail order company earlier that summer for some sort of a home project. But he denied being the Tylen

On September 29, 1982, Adam Janus suddenly collapsed in his home outside of Chicago. He died within hours. Later that same day, in the same house, his brother also collapsed — then his sister-in-law. All three of them had been healthy. Nobody could figure out what was going on.
