The Canadian guidelines are trying to move away from abusive head trauma so the terminology we would use an emerge would be traumatic head injury. Many of these infants if not all who present with what ends up being a traumatic end injury due to child maltreatment have been seen 2.3 times before in emerge or have presented to a medical professional 2.3times before. There's really no single reliable finding but all three of those systematic reviews suggest that the approach is that if you have signs or symptoms of head injury plus any of A, B or C so A is apnea B is bruising and C is convulsion so any of those are suggestive of potential for traumatic head injury related to child malt treatment
