It's really easy to spot a bully when it comes to the gym. Most people with bully bullying attitudes don't have the humility to continue in jujitsu for a long time. How do you find a good jujitsu gym? You start with Google and then ask yourself what are you looking for because jujitsu gyms very tremendously in how they're set up, run and all those things. There is no bowing at my gym there is no handshakes and there's respect but not as overt and not as imposed as it would be in a more traditional Brazilian jujitsu school.
