Symbolism, I Think, in the Scientific World

Most of human knowledge has been heuristic rather than accurate, right? We've come up with things to help us get things done. A lot of our intuitive functions and a lot of the structures that would enable us to function well are not technically accurate forms of thinking. So we still have to do something with that that makes it amenable to the multidimensional thriving of human beings. That's a little bit like moving back into that heuristic territory.
