Charles C. W. Cook: If you want to balance the budget without tax increases, entitlements are where most of the money is going to come from. The GOP's line is that we should balance the budget, not tomorrow, but over a decade. But it underscores the problem they have, because by the time that decades up, the entitlements that they won't touch will represent an even larger portion of the federal budget than they currently do. And the problem they're delaying addressing will therefore be even harder to solve than it is now.
