What You See Isn't Everything There Is to Be Seen

Stoicism is the process of cultivating a mind capable of seeing what needs to be done. The woman or man that we admire for their uprightness of character weren't born that way. They worked hard to become that way. There's a whole journey we can't see. We see with our eyes only the outcome of things. Our minds may allow us to see a thief's circumstances. Perhaps he is starving. In short, don't believe that everything you see is everything there is to be seen.
