Taxpayers are on the hook for a decent chunk of the current cost of climate change, not off in the future. We're paying these costs now. They're built into our insurance rates in private insurance systems and taxes that fund disaster relief programmes. There's some real costs to having a lot of families with kids living in poor quality housing,. poor quality neighborhoods, going to bad schools. And if the us. Wants to have a healthy, well educated, productive work forus 20 years from now, we need to invest in better quality living environments for all our kids to day.
