CHAPTER

The Importance of Individuation

The archetypal self is aware of you whether you're aware of it or not. Jung's whole emphasis was get conscious. Individuation is about getting clear that you're not it. When you become more conscious you face the ways in which you are in a participatory own mystique with the Archetypal self. I may experience the archetypalself in John in a transference in idealizing projection to John. He for me then becomes the archetyPal self and I seek to fuse with him to share in the power.
