Augustine joins the Manikis. This is one of those parts of the Confessions that, from a modern person, is hard to understand because we have no idea who these people are. It's not a religious group that has survived to the present day. Who are these people? Why did he join them? What was attractive about them? So we thought we'd say a little bit about the manikis.
