Admiral Nelson was shot in the shoulder by a French sniper. He lost feeling in his legs and collapsed to the deck, bleeding profusely. The Marines of the Redutabla were still raking the deck with grenades and musket fire. By now there was no longer any question that Trafalgar had worked exactly as he'd envisioned.
