The Importance of Supply-Side Economics

In 1981, Reagan's administration cut an astounding $1.5 billion in federal school lunch spending. This in turn reduced the lunch portions available and reduced the number of children who were eligible for the free or reduced lunch programs. He also called ketchup a vegetable so that they could claim they were meeting nutritional standards. The same man cutting taxes for the rich would also cut assistance to the poor.
